My Mentorship

My mentorship took place at Metro Appraisals the first semester and my mentor's names were Anissa Balch and Jennifyer Boyd. My day would consist of me doing anything my mentors requested. Usually I would work on the basics for appraisals for the appraisers in the office. I made improved sales, land sales, and comp. maps daily.

From this mentorship I have learned what goes on in the business to keep everything running smoothly. I had to be responsible because they gave me tasks that had to be completed in order for the appraisers to move on.

This semester I am have mentored at A1 Fast Cash, which is a title pawn just for cars. My mentor's name is Kristin Schiavo and she owns her business. I had to learn how to use the computer system in order to enter in data for the customers. I had to learn how to properly talk to customers on the phone because I had to make calls to late paying customers. This mentorship I had to communicate daily with customers, so it really helped improve my communication skills.

I believe that this mentorship opportunity will help me make better decisions regarding the business world in the future. I have learned everything that needs to happen to be a successful business owner. It not only takes the skills, but it also takes lots of time and effort to be successful.
